In Tundla, Firozabad, a major accident took place on Friday morning after climbing the divider of DCM full of animals going from Haryana to Kanpur on the highway bridge. Two youths and two animals sitting on top of the DCM jumped down from the bridge and died on the spot. Five people were injured there. The injured have been sent to Firozabad for treatment.

The incident happened around 7 am on Friday morning. A DCM vehicle from Jind in Haryana was going to Kanpur carrying cattle. There were seven people including the driver in the DCM. When the vehicle reached over the Jarauli bridge on the highway, it collided with the divider. When the accident occurred, two persons sitting on top of the DCM Sandeep s/o Ram Sajeevan resident of Mau Rura police station Rura Kanpur Dehat and Vimal Thakur s/o Rajendra Singh resident of Achalda Akbarpur, Kanpur fell down from the bridge, who died on the spot. Police reached the spot and sent the dead bodies to Firozabad.

Station in-charge Pradeep Kumar told that the relatives of the deceased have been informed. Postmortem of dead buffaloes is being done and treatment of injured buffaloes is being done.
